Francis was born in Halls Creek, grew up in Yiyili and now lives in Rocky Springs with partner Paul Cox. Francis is the well-respected Gooniyandi teacher. She teaches culture and language to the students of Yiyili School. Francis started painting at a young age after watching her mother paint. She loves to paint about bush tuckers and the dreamtime. Francis shows a great interest and energy for a wide range of mediums and continues to expand her artistic skills mixed with a love of traditional methods of working creating textile works that use plants and flowers for natural dyes.
