Laarri Art Centre

Halimah was born in Derby and spent most of her life in Yiyili before moving to Pullout Springs, a small outstation about 3km from Yiyili. She represents Pullout Springs as a board member for school and community. Halimah is married with six children and one grandchild.  Halimah paints about the landscape surrounding her, bush tuckers and bush animals. She tells stories important to her country and culture through colourful paintings filled with pattern and texture.
