Tracey was born in Derby on the 15^th of March in 1988 to proud parents Len Jack and Jan Cox (dec) who is also an artist here at Laarri Gallery. She is the fourth oldest child in a family of seven, she has three sisters and three brothers. Tracey lived in Yiyili all of her life and attend Yiyili Aboriginal Community School until year 10 then went to St John’s College in Darwin to do further education. She then returned home works at the school as a cleaner and the school cook. Tracey also has three sons Zephare, Nashaun and Tyrece. Tracee started painting recently after watching her mother (dec) and grandparents paint. Tracey loves to paint about bush tuckers and bush animals and also stories about the dreamtime that was passed down to her by her grandparents.
