Laarri Art Centre

Whitney Gordon was born in Derby and spent most of her life in Goolgardah, a small family block located about 5kms away from Yiyili. Whitney grew up watching her mother Marjorie (dec) paint, who was a well-known and respected artist here at the Laarri Gallery before growing her interest in art herself. She loves to paint about the country, dreamtime stories and about the land. Her works are controlled geometric expressions of her culture and her family connections to the landscape she lives in. Whitney shows great potential as an emerging Gooniyandi artist.
