Charlie was born at the old Fitzroy Crossing mission hospital in 1968. Charlie lived at Go Go station and attended school in the 1970s, which was then known as a cave school, which started in the 1960s not far from Go Go station in the hills. In his high school years he then attended a school in the South of Perth and then later on went back to live in Derby.
